Accommodation in Iceland

At Iceland Tours, we offer different levels of accommodation to best suit your needs. Whichever category you choose, you’ll enjoy comfortable stays in convenient locations along your route. A daily breakfast is always included, so you can fuel up for each day’s adventures.

All hotels and guesthouses have been handpicked by our travel experts based on their high standards and excellent ratings, as well as their proximity to Iceland’s top sights. We only work with responsible suppliers who have a positive impact on the local community.

You can choose from 3 levels of accommodation on self-drive tours: Budget, Comfort, and Quality. On other tour types, such as privately guided tours, there may be fewer options.

No matter which category of accommodation you pick, with Iceland Tours you’ll always get:

  • A clean and comfortable bed
  • Breakfast included
  • Access to Wi-Fi

FAQs

1. What’s the difference between Comfort and Quality accommodation?

Our Comfort and Quality options both offer clean and comfortable rooms with private bathroom facilities. Quality accommodation offers you that bit extra for an even better travel experience. This could be a room with a view, or more character in the interior design.

Accommodation options in the Quality category are normally standard rooms at 4-star hotels, or superior rooms at 3-star hotels. They also have good, full-service restaurants.

Good to know: At some accommodation options, Wi-Fi might not be available in your room but should be accessible from communal areas.

2. Can I pick a specific hotel in Iceland to stay at?

So we can offer you the right dates and best prices, we can’t guarantee you a stay at a specific hotel. We will always guarantee you a standard of accommodation within a specific category. So if you pay for a Comfort option, you’ll always get Comfort.

If you have a concern about staying at a particular accommodation option, please let us know within 2 days of receiving your booking confirmation. If you want us to make changes to your reservation at this stage, this may cost you more.
