Wildlife, scenery and cave exploring boat tour

2 hours
Cliffs in the Skálanes nature reserve

Venture to Iceland’s rugged Eastfjords for a boat trip to remember. On this 2-hour tour, you’ll uncover the hidden gems of stunning Seyðisfjörður with local guides.

Run by 2 brothers who grew up in the area, this boat tour promises to be an authentic experience. Once you’ve put your safety gear on, it’s time to hop aboard and set sail.

In this beautiful fjord, your guides will take you to the best spots for wildlife watching. And you’ll get to explore coastal caves along the way.

As part of the tour, you’ll journey through Skálanes nature reserve, where you’ll sail below 640-meter (2,100-feet) tall cliffs. In summer, you’ll see these cliffs packed with seabird colonies. The reserve is also home to eider ducks, seals, whales, and even reindeer.

Good to know: For your safety, the tour isn’t recommended if you are pregnant, have back problems, or a heart condition. And a moderate level of physical fitness is needed to take part. It’s also worth knowing that the boat isn’t accessible for wheelchairs or strollers.
