Located in Skjalfandi Bay in North Iceland, Húsavík is often called the whale watching capital of the world. And for good reason! There is a higher chance of seeing whales, when sailing out of Húsavík, than any other place in Iceland.
Not interested in whale watching? You also can visit the Husavik Whale Museum, where 10 different whale skeletons can be seen, along with a range of documentaries and a special fun area for kids.
Husavik is a relatively small town, so it is easy to walk around, exploring all the beauty and great, little shops it has to offer, taking a walk by the harbor or just relaxing at the nearest café with a piping hot cup of coffee.
