I had great experience at Iceland! I could watch the northern
lights, too!
And as your recommendation, the centerPlaza hotel was very nice. I
could comfortably stay there for 4 nights. It was a friendly, tidy
and convenient hotel!
There are still many things that I couldn't try this time, so I
want to come back to Iceland in the near future.
At that time, I will definitely ask you to arrange my trip next,
too.

Hello Carolina, Margrete and all at Iceland Tours,
We just returned from Iceland last night. I wanted to let you know
that we had a fabulous time in Iceland. The hotels you selected for
us were always good.
Some, like the hotel Kea in Akureyri, were very luxurious, others
like the farm hotel in Skogar were more simple but very
comfortable we enjoyed the variety. Every hotel was expecting us
and the rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable
and the included breakfasts were always good.
We loosely followed your itinerary, and added things like
snorkeling at Silfra and white water rafting on the West River in
Northern Iceland. We hiked to 9 waterfalls and saw several museums.
Our favorite was the one in Borganes. We started early each morning
and we were generally just getting to the hotels at 8:00 PM., but
we did fit everything in!
The food in Iceland was very good. Everything was exceptionally
fresh and there was plenty on the menu for us all to enjoy.
Yes, Iceland is expensive, but no more so than a big city like New
York or London.
Most of all we enjoyed the Icelandic people and the large areas
where there was nothing but peace and quiet and fantastic
scenery.
We thought your 10 day self drive tour was good value for money
and I would recommend Iceland and your service to everyone.
Particularly the part where we left our lap top in a hotel and it
was shipped by air to our hotel in Reykjavik. We did not even know
we had left it until the next hotel told us the plan!
Thank you for everything. Please let me know about the shipping
costs for the lap top.

The Volcano hotel was the coolest, but all hotels were nice. The
only one that had an unusual odor in the bathroom was the one at
the Hotel Egilsstadir. We also loved staying at the Hotel
Latrabjarg, very nice room and the bathroom we shared was just
right out side our room. We love Iceland!
Excellent place to visit. The places were very nice and the people
very helpful. Two weeks was great for driving around the
country.

The Central Hotel Plaza, Hotel Alden, and hotels in western
Iceland were excellent. The hotel in Myvatn was poor - the
furniture was warn / old, the windows in the rooms did not open
(stuck shut), and the bathroom was full of mold. You should
consider another hotel in Myvatn for your guests.

Thank you for Margret's patience and fast action when needed. Some
hotels were amazing, others not so good (one student dorm was very
smelly, the second one was excellent...) Re excursions, we followed
your suggestions and some others in books.
I recommend to everyone to visit Iceland during the summer. It
exceeded my expectations by far - the real bonus: the light at
midnight!!!

I have to say that I am very impressed with your company because
my entire trip ran perfectly smoothly - starting from when your
agent picked me up at the airport and delivered me to my hotel. All
the staff at each place I stayed could not have been nicer or more
helpful.
I have always wanted to see Iceland and your self guided 8 day
driving tour was the perfect way for me to see and experience the
country. I could not have been happier with my entire experience
with Iceland Tours. Every aspect of this trip ran so smoothly
starting with your agent picking me up at the airport and
delivering me to my hotel. The car rental also could not have been
easier and I was very satisfied with the car. All of the hotels
where I stayed were clean and neat and the staff was always very
friendly and helpful. I only wish I had chosen the 10 day trip so I
could have seen more of your beautiful country.

It was one of the best trips I have ever taken. The lodgings were
pleasant and the innkeeper (Magnus)was very helpful providing
information; it was a good location because I could spend time
sightseeing and enjoying Rekjavik. The South Shore excursion was
particularly striking, but all of them were well guided and a good
balance of information on the people of Iceland and the intesting
geological phenomena of the land. All scheduled excursion worked as
advertised and arrived punctually. I just sit and drink from my
Iceland mug and plot a comeback.

We had a brilliant 11 days travelling round the island. It was an
amazing experience, something different around every turn.
Accomadation booked for us was excellent and varied. It was nice to
be able to stay on the smaller farm style hotels which we enjoyed
and all top class.

knowleble agent i ever meet. I only will deal with her on my next
trip to Iceland
Iceland Tours is everything tehy promise and much more. Will book
with them again. Margret is the best Agend i ever had, very helpful
and pleasent to deal with. As i mentioned before, i hope she still
with you next time i travel to Iceland

Around Iceland by car tour.. and it was so unbelievabley awesome!!
It was one of the best holidays we have ever had!!
Iceland is so very beautiful! We loved everything about it. This
tour is so wonderful!!
The hotels were really great. All of the food we had in Iceland
was so delicious. The food at the hotels was excellent too!!

We are home safe and I just wanted to say thank you for all the
help during the vacation. We had a great time in Iceland and your
firm gets 5 stars for helping us out.
I figured I'd give you some reviews of the hotels we stayed at as
your firm probably evaluates your partnerships regularly.
Foss hotels - 4 nights - They were all pretty similar and
fine. Tended to be a little off the beaten track so you had
to drive etc. I'd recommend asking if anyone cares if they
are somewhere where they cant walk to anywhere to eat (Hofn,
Laugar). But clean and simple. Quality of the bed
varied greatly (the one in Lauger was terrible).
Volcano hotel - nice and interesting format. So new you could
still smell the paint. Same issue as FossHotel regarding
in/out of town
Hérad - Very nice. A welcome break into somplace really nice
from all the more rustic spots. I'd recommend trying to do
that for anyone taking this tour as the respite at someplace more
upscale - midway through the trip - was really nice.

A few words to tell you that we really enjoyed our trip and we
thank you very much for your assistance all the way.
The scenery and landscape are spectacular and people are generally
friendly. We are hoping to go back one of these days.
I will give you a bit of feedback:
If I had to do it again, I would pick up the car at the airport on
arrival. I lost too much time from the hotel to pick up the
car and back. We could not plan anything for that part of the
day.
Grand Hotel Reykjavik - excellent all the way - first class hotel
- something unusual and very appreciated: our hotel room was ready
as soon as we came in at 9:00 a.m. We could have a good rest.
Katla - Volcano Hotel - Very charming - like a bed and breakfast -
very warm welcome - it is clean - would recommend it to friends for
sure
Hotel Hofn - Reception staff not the friendliest, but ok - Feels
like a convent - but food was excellent in the restaurant
Hotel Egilsstadir - The worst of the trip - Constant awful smell
from the bathroom, room cramped (after that we really appreciated
the quality of the other hotels)
Hotel Gigur - excellent all the way - we loved the place and would
stay there again longer - not only for the hotel, but mainly for
all the things to see and experience there.
Hotel Akureyri - high quality place - everything is modern and
comfortable, staff very friendly and professional - students who
stay there during the year are well looked after.
Fosshotel Reykholt - excellent - rooms are not new, but
comfortable, staff is friendly, restaurant excellent, lots of neat
attractions in the area
Framnes Hotel - it has a special "cachet", that ocean feeling,
room not 4 stars but clean and perfect for our needs, view on
water, food excellent, they even had Canadian maple syrup on their
pancakes!!!
We visited most of the suggested sites, but too fast. We had
3 days of rain, the rest sunshine. The longer sunny days were
very appreciated. We could plan outdoor activities late in
the evening. There is plenty to see for another trip.

We got back from our fantastic trip to Iceland on Wednesday and I
just wanted to send you a note to thank you for your help and
advice arranging the trip.
Everything worked fine, all the arrangements were in place and we
saw everything we wanted to (and more) - and the weather improved
along the South Coast so we didn't need the extra night in Hella
after all.
Even the bridge at Vik was replaced by the time we got
there!
We will definitely recommend Iceland Tours to friends.

We were fully satisfied with all aspects of our experience. It was

with a real person as we were planning our trip. And those "read

responsive. And everything we contracted for was as
represented.

We really enjoyed our trip and Iceland is an exciting country
which we will return to soon. Our only disappointment was the
accommodation as some of the rooms and bathrooms were very small.
However, they were always clean and the service was good as well as
the food. As my husband commented it was better than sleeping in a
tent! Thank you for making our first trip to Iceland a memorable
one.

We all had a great trip, and Iceland was stunning and exciting.
Lulli was a very kind, well informed and energetic guide who tried
very hard to enthuse about the things we would see. It worked and

The excursions were excellent except for the northern lights tour
which was spoiled by the very irritating style of the guide. The
golden circle tour was really extremely good - including the guide.
