1. About Iceland Tours

Iceland Tours is a part of the Primera Travel Group in Scandinavia. Our registered head office is at Skógarhlíð 18, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland.


Iceland Tours is a leading incoming tour operator in Iceland building on over 35 years of valuable experience in the travel market. Primera Travel Group operates travel agencies and tour operating companies in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

 

2. How does the booking process work?

Once you have submitted your booking and personal details through www.icelandtours.is, you will receive a confirmation and pro-forma invoice of your booking via e-mail. Most of the bookings are confirmed instantly; however, packages that include overnight accommodation and car rental may take a bit longer.

 

The travel documents will be delivered to you once the full payment has been received. You will receive your travel documents: e-tickets, vouchers and itinerary via email. Please print out these documents, as you will need to show them for all services during your visit to Iceland.

 

Please note: If by any chance our travel consultant is unable to obtain confirmation (if car rental/ or accommodation is not available) an alternative will be offered. If you do not accept the alternative or Iceland Tours is not able to offer you an alternative, you are entitled to a full refund.

 

3. How do I pay for my bookings?

We charge and refund all payments in Euros. You can see the official exchange rate here. We accept all major credit cards.

 

Please note that all online bookings require payment of 20% of the total package price at the time of the booking. If the total price is less than 800 EUR or booking occurs less than 30 days before your arrival date full payment is required. You will be informed by e-mail when you need to pay the balance of your booking which is 30 days before your departure date.


You can only make online reservations with a credit card, if you prefer to pay for your booking with a bank transfer, please contact us here and send us all the information regarding the booking, name of the tour, type of car, accommodation and arrival date.

 

4. Can I cancel my booking?

Applied cancellation fees differ between packages (including accommodation and/or car rental) and day tours.


Cancellation of packages

Please note that a cancellation fee of 100 EUR per person is always charged, when cancelling a package booking.

5. When should I book?

All travel arrangements should be booked at least within two business days (48 hours) in advance. For packages we strongly recommend you book with a few weeks notice. For Group Tours we recommend you book with a few months' notice. 


IcelandTours.com reserves the right to cancel bookings when services are not available (e.g. when a car rental is not available, when accommodation is unavailable, etc.).

 

6. How do I contact Iceland Tours?

Iceland Tours aims to answer all e-mails within one business day (24 hours).  Click here to contact us.  Our office is located at Skógarhlíð 18, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland.

 

Our offices are open from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 17.00, except on bank holidays. In case of emergencies, we offer our customers a 24-hour emergency phone number during their stay.
