12. Are the flights included in the package?

We believe that in times of low cost flights and due to a higher flexibility, it is best for you to book your flight apart from the package with us. Therefore we do not arrange airfare to or from our destinations because it is generally cheaper for you to book your flights directly with the airlines. This also allows you to take advantage of the airlines' miles or frequent flyer programs. We recommend that you contact the airlines directly for information about flights and bookings. Nevertheless, we are prepared to help you with the airlines that you can check out, depending on your country.

13. Travel Documents

The travel documents will be delivered to you once the full payment has been received. You will receive your travel documents: e-tickets, vouchers and itinerary via email. Please print out these documents, as you will need to show them for all services during your visit to Iceland.

14. Driving in Iceland

Road conditions in Iceland can vary greatly. The "circle road" (road nr. 1) goes all around the island and is nearly asphalted all the way. Smaller roads are often very narrow, steep gravel roads with potholes and sharp bends. The two main F roads crossing the highland and inner highland roads are unpaved tracks. We highly recommend renting a 4 WD if you want to reach these areas. Highland tracks are usually closed until the end of June or beginning of July. Before driving into the highland areas it is necessary to check road and weather conditions, by phoning 1777 or visiting www.road.is.

The speed limit in built up areas is 50 km/h, on roads outside built up areas 90 km/h and on gravel roads 80 km/h. In Iceland you have to drive with daytime running lights all around the clock.
